Workers Memorial Day will be marked on Monday, April 28, in Duluth this year.
There will be a pancake breakfast in the basement of the Labor Temple from 7-9 a.m. on April 28. There will be some remarks and then we will go outside (weather permitting) to plant a memorial tree.
This event is free and open to the public; all are welcome. This is Labor’s most solemn holiday, and commemorates the anniversary of the Occupational Safety and Health Act.
If your union has had a death on the job in the past year, please contact Corey Cusick, 218-726-4775, to coordinate with the memorial.
